Powell tells investors to brace for impact!

I wanted to give a primer on the non-rate decision this morning.

The FED decided to leave rates on hold, convicted on higher rates for longer…

all the while pretending that no one would notice that the United States is $33 Trillion in debt and staring down a recession.

Powell's approach leaves very little to the imagination. He tells us exactly what he is going to do and does it, but the market still doesn’t believe him.

His “soft landing” thesis, whereby they magically tame inflation and stop a recession is only taken seriously in the media. The high price of Oil continues to say “NO way José.”

Inflation is now largely energy driven, rates can’t stop that unless they deliberately want to cause a circuit breaker moment.

On the other hand, the yield curve inversion tells us a recession is closing in and a big crash normally preludes that so…tick tock
