Top 10 Cryptos for February

After Trump’s inauguration and the release of China’s OpenAI competitor, the markets have been on a rollercoaster ride in January, with volatility creating both challenges and opportunities. Despite the short-term swings, we continue to see a broader positive shift as we move into February and set the stage for an exciting 2025.

There’s a lot to cover today, including four new additions to the Top 10 Portfolio, as we position ourselves for the next phase of market growth.

Let’s dive straight in!

IN - HBAR, XRP, DEEPBOOK, DOGECOIN
OUT - POPCAT, FET, JUPITER, ICP

To say we made some moves this month is an understatement! We’ve had a huge strategy shift on how we view what to hold in our Top 10 and it simply must be Strong vs Bitcoin.

As stated in our mid-month portfolio Update Video: “If it ain’t beating BTC, then why are you holding it!?”

We obviously can’t rotate the whole portfolio (and we still believe the options removed belong in longer term portfolios), but we wanted to make meaningful changes to reflect strength vs BTC and to punish underperformance.

Strong layer 1s are the focus with HBAR & XRP moving in to replace ICP and FET - not a like for like, but the charts do not lie. AI and DePin options are not in vogue if the ICP & FET charts are showing continual weakness.

Additionally, we wanted to reduce risk in our Memecoin selection - therefore, we have done a direct swap: POPCAT into DOGE.

DEEP is a new higher risk entrant to the portfolio, but considering the strong performance vs SUI and USDT we felt it was a good choice to replace JUPITER.

We will be monitoring STX, BEAM and ETH for next month but we decided to hold fire on these options as they give us diversification.
