Top 10 Cryptos for January 2024

Finishing off 2023 with some reflection, cryptocurrency really stepped up out of the drawn out 2022 bear market, outperforming every market over the last 12 months. The numbers below demonstrate the need to have some exposure to this revolutionary digital asset class, hence the transition for the largest asset managers on the planet… 2024 will be a very interesting year!

Precious Metals:
Gold: +4.1%
Silver: +4.5%

Stock Market Indices:
S&P 500 (USD price): +20.3% (closing price on December 22nd, 2023)
ASX 200 (AUD price): +7%

Real Estate:
Australian National Median House Price Growth: +7.2% (Q3 2023 data)

Throughout 2023 I have said in every release, back the king. Looking at the year to date performance comparison of the Top 20 cryptos by market cap (below), Bitcoin has outperformed almost every other crypto, apart from the Ethereum, Layer 1 competitors. There’s an interesting observation in that!
Not only has Bitcoin been the lowest risk crypto to invest in, it has produced outsized returns in comparison to most higher risk assets. There’s no genius in this prediction, just experiencing 3 crypto cycles already and a quick glance back at past data…. It’s not the first time the market recovery played out exactly like this.

Our focus in 2024 is on two major topics. One, understanding the impacts that the ETF’s bring, primarily with demand flow and two, on altcoin season. The shift from high market cap cryptos, into more speculative, outperformers.
